Dr Sean N Napier

Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life
I do what I love daily; giving someone the confidence to smile, relieving them of pain, seeing the look on a patient's face when they see their new smile. After graduating in 1998 I worked as a locum in Johannesburg. A year later I returned to my hometown of Kokstad and set up a practice in Matatiele and Maclear. In 2004, I started working part-time in Durban while still running the other clinics. I was then approached to locum in Kloof. By the end of 2005, I relocated to Durban full time. In 2009 I became a partner at the Kloof Village practice and begun focusing on cosmetic dentistry and smile enhancement. ​ In 2013 I moved the practice to the picturesque Old Main Road where we are today. My life revolves around 3 F’s: Faith, Family & Fun. I have four young energetic kids who keep me very busy. I play over 40's hockey, love good red wine, travel and photography.
Dentistry is more than a career, it’s my passion.

Restoration of Teeth
Crowns and veneers are required when there is not enough natural tooth structure remaining. Veneers are thin pieces of ceramic custom made, which are bonded to the natural tooth.
Paediatric Dentistry
We believe it is important to visit the dentist as early as possible. This includes having the procedures explained in a child-friendly manner and a “VIP” tour of the surgery.
Adult Orthodontics
By aligning the teeth, oral hygiene maintenance becomes so much easier. Clear aligners are used to re-align the teeth without the need for brackets and tracks. Specific CFAST ALIGNERS may be used for straightening only the teeth in the smile area.
Paediatric Orthodontics
Development of the jaw, alignment of teeth and maintaining spaces until adult teeth emerge is the primary outcome. Patients are either treated in house or referred to our network orthodontists.
Endodontics
The most common endodontic treatment is the root canal. This includes the removal of dead nerve tissue and adding a filling. The goal is to save the tooth and relieve the pain.
Oral Hygiene
Patients are educated on the correct daily maintenance of their teeth. Preserving the patients’ natural teeth as well as improving the life span of completed restorative dental treatment.
